By Grace Bell

So you have finally seen the light and decided to switch from your contract cell phone plan to a prepaid cell phone plan. Indeed, with the convenience of having no credit check, no monthly bill and no contract, prepaid cell phone plans are fast becoming the main choice for cell phone users. One of the great features of a these plans, aside from being cheap, is the fact that they are very flexible. Prepaid plans will surely fit the lifestyle and budget of any and all users. Whether you are a heavy user or a casual cell phone user, you will surely find a prepaid plan that will suit you. Let's check out the three different payment options for prepaid cell phone plans to find out which prepaid plan would be perfect for you.

The most famous prepaid cell phone plan is called the pay as you go plan. This prepaid plan is used by most cell phone prepaid users because it's a pretty straightforward plan. With pay as you go plan, you pay for the minutes that you think you will be able to consume and purchase more minutes if you need to. Otherwise, you have about 30 or 90 days before the activation of the minutes expires. Another perk of the pay as you go plan is that there is no monthly fee and no annual contract with any cell phone company. So for those who do not have a credit card, or refuses to tie up their credit card with a cell phone plan and for those with varying incomes, the pay as you go plan is the perfect prepaid plan to choose. Just remember to renew your credits or minutes regularly before the minutes expire. It's that simple.

So what if you find reloading your minutes every time you run out a bit too complicated for your taste? Well then perhaps the monthly prepaid plans would be the perfect plan for you. The monthly prepaid plan is geared to give maximum convenience to the user of the plan. The only thing that you have to remember with the monthly plan is that you need to have money in your account every due date of your prepaid plan. Let's say for example that you're prepaid monthly plan is $50 and your due date is every 1st of the month. You need not worry about running out of minutes anytime from the end of the previous month until the 1st of the next month which is your due date. Just make sure that every 1st of the month, on your due date, your account has enough money to pay for your fixed $50 monthly fee. The monthly plan is that simple. You just have to remember how much your monthly plan is worth and your due date and just use up all the minutes that you need. The monthly prepaid plan is the best plan for those who prefer convenience over total control of their cell phone prepaid service.

Last on the list is, and the newest prepaid plan to hit the market, is the daily plan. With a daily plan, you are only charged for the days you use the phone. Currently, the average cost for a daily plan is about $2 a day. If you make or receive one phone call, then you are charged for that day. If you have one of these phone plans, you literally have to turn your phone off to keep people from calling you and getting charged for that day. The upside is that you can make an unlimited amount of phone calls for that day and still be charged the same amount. These plans are typically more expensive if you use your phone every day. Where they make sense is for customers who know that they will only use their phone for a limited number of days per month.

With all these great prepaid cell phone options, the key to finding the plan that suits you best is entirely up to you. If you want control on your expenses on a daily basis then the prepaid daily plan is the perfect plan for you. If you want to just pay for the minutes that you actually use and want the freedom to go ahead and buy more minutes if you want to then choose the pay as you go plan. If you want a fixed monthly plan for your convenience, then the choice is up to you. Just remember that you need to keep your budget and your consumption in mind when making your choice.
